James Dean

A remarkable actor. A style icon. The name who I would possibly answer to the questions "Who is your icon? Who inspires you? and Who is your hero?"

James Dean is one of the few people who influence me. He was passionate and eager thats why he rose among those great actors of his generation. In his short life he was able to make a mark to everybody. Interesting to imagine that this mark continuously inspires people.

Back on scratch again

I am happy that after a long week of waiting and working on this site, I am finally making my first post here! It is so hard to resist temptation of posting something on a blank blog space so I will give myself a tap on the shoulders for winning over temptation.

I waited long enough to start blogging because I want a polished blog space. I have an old blog but decided to make a new one for my "grown up self" everybody moves out of their adolescence blog when they turn into a young adult, right?

Moving on, I was able to do my banner shoot with a little help of my friend, Ramona. We sneaked out to my uncles apartment to do the shoot since my uncle was gone for vacation and his apartment was very much available for a photoshoot. Actually, right after i heard that he will be leaving for vacation his apartment was the first thing that popped out in my head for the shoot. Sneaky Evil Plans.

I brought some of my interesting personal items (photos below) that day because I will use them as my first subject to post here on my blog.

I will start with my thrifted Tough Leather bag, which is actually a bargain. Bought it at a thrift store around LP for PHP 500, it's a real leather, you can easily tell, and for ten bucks it was really a good find. This is an old bag like a decade old or something, the skin is starting to peel off but it doesn't really matter, the peeled leather gave it a more dramatic vintage look. I like it. I am not the only one who spotted a bargain that day, my friend ramona also found something. An authentic Vivienne Westwood handbag!

The Minolta Camera 1970's and Polaroid LMS sun 600 was originally owned by my dad. He bought it back on his early college days, he mentioned. The history? it was a long story but to make the story shorter let's just say that they are four decades old and both are still in it's mint condition.

By the way the minolta camera has a mini leather luggage that i really like. It's a black leather suitcase that when you open, you can see dividers for the camera and lenses. It looks great for a camera case, very old looking and very stylish. I haven't have a chance to use my Polaroid camera yet but as soon as i get Polaroid films (which i'm having a hard time looking) i will make it work right away.

The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy is the current book am reading right now. I'm still on it's first chapter so i can't tell by now if it's a hit or miss, so far am starting to like it. The DIY book cover is definitely a hit, i can say that now. There are couples of free stickers inside and I'm still thinking on what to save and what to stick at the front cover. Thats one of the main reason why i bought this book besides my love for outerspace. I love stickers.
